Things to do before 1st visit to our clinic
[1] Find a backup clinic.It is necessary to find a clinic/doctor who has an understanding in egg donation. [2] Inspections
The following is the general treatment flow. However, please contact us first if you consider to take treatment at our clinic because the inspections are different in each person. After our doctor sees your condition and past treatment, we tell you what you need for inspection and the flow. If you have reports of past test result, please email to us. (Result of the last 3 months is preferable)
◉ Blood test results for both husband and wife: HIV, Syphilis, CBC, ABO(RH) are required. *Please also send semen test result.
◉ Ultrasonography: Check the thickness of the endometrium during ovulation.
◉ Hysteroscopy: Check the state of the uterus. *It’s not to all people and it depends on the current menopause status.
◉ Hysterotubography: Check if there is tubal edema. *It’s not to all people and depends on the past treatment and pregnancy history. [3] Acquisition of family register & marriage certificate
First, obtain a certified copy of your family register. After that, you go to Taiwan embassy, Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in your home country and get marriage certificate. It may have different process in different offices.
1st Visit
Both husband and wife must come to our clinic for the 1st visit.
If you take hysteroscopy at our clinic, it requires two days in total.
*You will complete all the process in one day if you don’t need to take hysteroscopy.
Belongings: Passport, marriage certificate issued at Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in your country, seal, health insurance card
Between 1st and 2nd visit
It usually takes about 3 months between 1st and 2nd visit until we finish donor matching and embryo culture.
Dashin Reproductive Center;
– conducts a donor matching.
– retrieves donor’s egg, and then conduct in vitro fertilization with the husband’s sperm.
– reports the number and grade of embryos to the customer, and fix the rough transfer schedule. *If you request to take PGS/PGD, we take some cells from embryos and use them for inspection and analysis.
2nd Visit
There are 2 patterns of preparation for embryo transfer. One is conducted at our clinic, and the other is at the backup clinic in your country.
*We may designate Pattern A depending on your physical condition.
Pattern A
Before 2nd visit
Step 1) Step 1) Day 3 from the start of menstruation; You start taking the endometrial hormone pills which we give to you at 1st visit.
2nd visit
Step 2) Day 10-12 after taking hormone pills; You visit our clinic and check the endometrial thickness by ultrasonography and the hormone level by blood test.
Step 3) We prescribe progesterone according to the condition of the endometrium.
Step 4) You take progesterone for 4-7 days, and transfer embryo on a scheduled date. We will instruct you when you start taking the pills.
Step 5) Embryo transfer can be finished in about 10 minutes, and you take a rest for a couple of hours in a private room. You can leave for home on the day or the next day.
Pattern B
Before the 2nd visit
Step 1) Day 3 from the start of menstruation; You start taking the endometrial hormone pills received at the 1st visit.
Step 2) Day 10-12 after taking hormone pills; You visit a backup clinic and check the endometrial thickness by ultrasonography and the hormone level by blood test (E2 and P4). Please send the data immediately after you get.
Step 3) Based on the test result, we will judge if you can proceed to embryo transfer in this menstruation cycle. *If it’s difficult to transplant in this cycle, it will be postponed to the next cycle.
Step 4) We fix the transfer date and inform you when you start taking progesterone which you received at the 1st visit. We will instruct you when you start taking the pills.
Step5) You arrange for air tickets so that you can arrive in Taiwan a day before transplantation.
2nd visit
Step 6) You take progesterone for 4-7 days, and transfer embryo on a scheduled date.
Step 7) Embryo transfer can be finished in about 10 minutes, and you take a rest for a couple of hours in a private room. You can leave for home on the day or the next day.
